What to expect on a Llama trek &Alpaca trek.

The trails start at the barn where the Llamas and Alpacas are ready for you. The trek will last approximately 1 hour. There is a familiarity session at the barn where you will learn about the animals and what to expect on the Llama trek and alpaca trek. Guests are shown how to safely lead their animals. The terrain is typical Bruce Peninsula Biosphere. which is technical. The trails have uneven rock, some dirt sections with continuous elevation changes throughout your journey. COVID19 protocols are in place for the protection off all guests and staff. Masks are mandatory while doing the familiarity session then optional while llama trekking and alpaca trekking. You will want to have proper closed toe footwear to navigate the uneven rocky terrain. We provide a Llama or Alpaca for each person 18+ to lead on the trek. We will assess participants 12 to 18 years of age to determine if we feel confident of their leading abilities for a Llama or Alpaca. Children 12 and under will not be permitted to lead an animal, but are welcome on the trek if physically able. Babies in strollers are not permitted for safety reasons.
